Kate loves her new teeth
Your first step is to visit the Auckland Implant Centre and meet with one of our highly experienced team. They will listen to your dental and health history in a caring way, and examine your mouth and take a jaw X-ray.
Our patients often begin this journey scared and emotional, but we strive to take the time to make you feel comfortable.
We will evaluate your specific needs, personal aspirations, and check if a dental implant is right for you. We will provide a written quote and formulate a treatment plan right there are then, and let you take this information home to think about what is best for you.

At this visit we will be placing the titanium implant along with any bone grafting and possibly an immediate tooth. Most of our patients are a little nervous, but we take care to help you feel relaxed. We have the option of using the anaesthetist to sedate you off to sleep should you wish.
We talk you through the procedure and then gently numb the site. The implant is carefully placed into your bone based on the surgical plan, and a few stitches placed. We take time going through your care instructions so you can look after yourself once you leave.
We will get you back after two weeks of healing to check on your progress and remove any remaining stitches.

After about 12 weeks of healing (occasionally it may be as long as 16 weeks), you return so that we can check the gum and bone has healed well. We will then take a digital scan impression, choose the crown shade and discuss with you any specific design aspects you want for your final tooth.
This is an easy and relaxed visit. The dental technicians will then start to craft your implant crown or bridge.
Two to three weeks later when our dental technicians and ceramists have completed making your implant crown, we are able to fit it onto the titanium implant.
This is another easy and relaxed visit. We will carefully explain and demonstrate how to care for your implant at home. These steps are important and it’s what helps the Auckland Implant Centre achieve its long term success rate of over 99%.
Following the simple aftercare guidelines around cleaning your new teeth is a crucial component of the process. This not only equips you with the knowledge and confidence needed for this life-altering transformation, but also ensures the longevity and success of the treatment.
It’s important to remember that unlike natural teeth, your new implants can not get decay, however they still require diligent oral hygiene and regular professional cleanings. With consistent care, your new dental implants have the potential to last a lifetime.
Our commitment to safety and patient care is underscored by our Dental Implant Warranty. This should give you further comfort and assurance to keep smiling well into the future.
At Auckland Implant Centre, we believe it’s never too late to restore your teeth – and your quality of life. Our caring, judgement-free team is here to guide you every step of the way, helping you regain not just your smile, but the freedom to eat, laugh and live with confidence.
